Aston Villa boss Rémi Garde believes that his team have the quality to perform well this season, despite acknowledging it'll be a tough task.
His comments came after they were thrashed 4-0 by Everton at Goodison Park over the weekend.
"We all know the task is very difficult," the Claret and Blue boss stated, reports avfc.co.uk. "I still think we have qualities in this team - and in the next game we have to show this.
"There are a lot of games to play. We will fight for every point - and we will continue that against Watford this next weekend.
"We have to carry on working hard. I said that to the players because nothing is finished, nothing is done.
"But this result against Everton showed the way - and the work in front of us. We have to do it.
"The spirit in the second half was there, it was very good. We tried and tried - it was encouraging.
"In the first half, it wasn't a question of spirit - maybe we were too light, we didn't win enough duels.
"The key for us is to work hard all together."
