Ramsey: "We played with a lot of belief and intensity."

Ramsey was pleased with the Gunners performance when they hosted West Bromwich Albion.

Arsene Wenger's side sealed a 2-0 win over West Brom on Thursday to climb up to third spot in the Premier League table.

Alexis Sanchez's brace helped beat the Baggies at the Emirates as Arsenal strengthened their hopes of finishing in the top four.

However, after the triumph Ramsey told Sky Sports: "We played with a lot of belief and intensity and we made a lot of chances. We haven't been at that standard of late and we needed that level of performance for us and our fans.

"We needed that. We played with a real purpose. We have been frustrated with the way we have been playing but that is what we are capable of. It may be too little too late but we keep going."

Sanchez's brace took him to 12 league goals for the campaign.
