Timo Werner transfer from RB Leipzig this summer continues to be a hot topic.
Red Bull Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick has backed Germany international Timo Werner to shine at Anfield. Rangnick can see Werner fitting into Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side if the striker decides to secure a move away from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. The 24-year-old revealed his desire to play in the Premier League under Reds manager Klopp despite interest from German giants Bayern Munich and Serie A side Inter Milan.
More: Van Dijk pleased with the way things have panned out since Anfield move. The former Hannover 96, Schalke 04, and Leipzig coach Rangnick told Bild: "The league is less important, but the club, from a purely hypothetical point of view, I would better see him in good hands with a club that is not necessarily defined by ball possession football. "Since Timo has made progress under [RB Leipzig manager] Julian Nagelsmann, his most important weapons, however, are the quick switching movement and his powerful finish. "Therefore, he would rather fit a club like Liverpool, which is similar to our style of play, but I would prefer him to stay here."
