Ranieri wants Leicester to look forward to the coming games.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has urged his players to look forward to upcoming difficult games after they defeated Chelsea on Monday night.

The Foxes beat the Premier League champions 2-0, as Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez scored a goal each to move Leicester back to the top of the table.

“It was a great result,” Ranieri said of City’s win over Chelsea. “Not for me – for the team and for the fans. Not because it was Chelsea, but it was three points and we continue to stay at the top of the league. For us it’s important for us to achieve 40 points and after we’ll see.

“Maybe they (the players) understood to beat the champions is not easy. It’s not possible [to do this] every day. Now it’s important they clear their minds and think about the other difficult matches.”

League leaders Leicester play Everton next on Saturday afternoon.
