Aubameyang transfer rumours have been on the rise since the COVID-19 shutdown.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract at the Emirates is set to expire at the end of next season and according to various tabloids, elite clubs in Europe are contemplating over making a bid this summer. Real Madrid have reportedly made initial contact over the availability of the Gabonese striker as the 13-time European champions look to prepare a bid for the Arsenal captain. The north London side are keen to hold onto one of their valued assets, but they may have no other choice but to sell him this summer.

It is obvious that the Gunners would prefer to get a transfer fee rather than let the former Borussia Dortmund hitman leave on a free transfer. Speaking last month, the Spaniard stated as the Daily Mirror published: "We will have to do that [sort out his deal] before the end of the season. I want to keep him in any circumstances.”

Sources say the Gunners lynchpin is keen to play Champions League football which cannot be guaranteed by Arsenal unless they spring up a surprise when the COVID-19 shutdown is over.
