Real Madrid's Toni Kroos questions Spanish media.

Toni Kroos has told sport1 that the Spanish media can overreact to Real Madrid suffering poor results.

After a strong first half of the season, Real endured a poor run of form at the turn of the year, leading to criticism of Carlo Ancelotti and his side from some sections.

The club have, however, progressed to the quarterfinals of the Champions League and are four points off La Liga leaders Barcelona with 10 matches of the campaign remaining.

Germany international Kroos said: "Those who know me best know that my opinions don't change with the wind. That's what the Spanish media are like sometimes.

"Everything's great when you win a game, but it's all bad when you lose".

Kroos, who signed for Real from Bayern Munich last summer, has made 51 starts for club and country this season, but insists he is determined not to let his form waver despite the risk of fatigue.

He added: "I've played a lot of games and I didn't have a winter break this year. It's normal to sometimes feel tired, but right now I feel great and I'm really happy at Real Madrid."
