Former Tottenham and QPR manager Harry Redknapp has blasted the top Premier League sides for not securing the services of Dele Alli.
Redknapp said it's a shame Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United didn't buy the 19-year-old who moved from Milton Keynes Dons to White Hart Lane for a low fee.
He told the Evening Standard: "Tottenham paid £5million for him in the end, which is nothing. It is an amazing buy. He’s worth at least £20m now if not a lot more. And Spurs had a clear run at signing him!"
The 68-year-old: "It shames the recruitment networks at the top clubs — who could think further ahead — that they didn’t go in for him.
"Why didn’t Arsenal sign him? Don’t tell me Chelsea shouldn’t have bought him for £5m. What’s £5m to Manchester United, especially with the way they throw their money around now? Okay, Liverpool did show some interest but for, whatever reason, did not follow it through."
Dele Alli scored a wonder goal against France on his first start for England on Tuesday night.
