Report: Real Madrid keeping tabs on Liverpool FC and England star Joe Gomez.

La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly keeping track on England defender Joe Gomez’s situation at Liverpool FC. Gomez was ruled out of action for the majority of the 2019-20 campaign due to a knee injury and when he returned to action this season, he suffered calf and groin problems which have blighted his efforts.

It is believed the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig will reduce Gomez’s playing time at Anfield and Los Blancos reckon the 24-year-old could seek pastures new in search for a new challenge.

Gomez still has three-and-a-half years left on his current contract on Merseyside, which contradicts the possibility of him leaving the club that see him as a key figure going forward.

Gomez isn’t the only centre-back that has been linked with Real Madrid. According to reports in Spain, Los Blancos, who are keen on bolstering their defence, have also been linked with the likes of Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, whose current deal at Stamford Bridge comes to an end in the summer of 2022.

Liverpool signed the highly-rated defender Joseph Gomez from Charlton for £3.5m back in 2015 on a five-year deal and he has been a sensation as he went on to win the Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the Champions League with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
