Following Bayern's final group game in the UEFA Champions League, Robben, Rode, and Schweinsteiger were on hand to talk on the final game, the group and the Second round draws.
Fcbayern.ed reported the trio saying the following: “I’m delighted we’ve won. We dominated the game but it wasn’t easy. We’ve hit our target. That’s the most important thing, but the really big games lie ahead of us,” Schweinsteiger said.
“Moscow weren’t at all positive, they pulled everyone back and waited to hit us on the break. We had total control over the game. If we’d seen our moves through to the end a little better in the second half, we’d have scored a couple more goals. But it was fun. It was a tough group but all credit to the team because we’ve done well,” Robben said.
“Your first goal in the Champions League is obviously a bit special, but at the end of the day all that matters is that we won. CSKA dropped very deep most of the time, sometimes right on the edge of their own box. We missed a few chances and could have won by more, but we’ve finished first and we’ve hit our target. Let’s wait and see who we get in the draw,” Rode said.
The draws for the second round will be made on Monday 15 December at 11am GMT.
