Roberto Martinez disappointed not to get all three points at Upton Park.

West Ham 1-1 Everton.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has expressed his disappointment at his side's inability to get all three points against West Ham on Saturday.

Everton and West Ham drew 1-1 with goals from Romelu Lukaku, and Emmanuel Lanzini.

"I think West Ham started better than us,” conceded the Toffees chief, as Evertonfc.com reported. “For the first 20 minutes we were coming to terms with the game and we put emphasis on wanting to be solid.

"Our performance against Sunderland was exciting to watch and today we had the right mindset to be tested defensively.

"Their goal is disappointing from our point of view. It’s a great finish from Lanzini but he has too much space on the edge of the box.

"From that point on we became really strong. In the second half, we nullified their threat and I felt a winner was coming.

"I was delighted with the reaction but a little bit disappointed we couldn’t get all three points with the amount of quality we had going forward.”
