The 27-year-old Brazilian replaced Divock Origi in the 37th minute and had an immediate impact at Anfield.
Andrew Robertson has praised Roberto Firmino‘s "big impact" in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Brazilian was key in the Reds’ comeback win against the Magpies at Anfield as he came off the bench to provide two assists that helped Liverpool continue their perfect start to the new Premier League season.
"We're gutted for big Div coming off, hopefully it's not too serious but he had to come off at that time," Robertson told the club's website.
"But to bring Bobby on is always a nice sub to have. Obviously he came back late from internationals and the manager decided to put him on the bench.
"When he came on he showed his class and could probably have had three or four assists.
"He had a big impact and that's what we needed. Luckily we had enough for the three points."
The 3-1 win over Newcastle means Liverpool are the fourth team ever in the English top flight to win 14 straight league games and the first to do it while scoring at least two goals in each game.
Jürgen Klopp‘s side arrived in Italy today, getting set to kick off the defence of their European crown with a clash against Serie A giants Napoli.
