Ronaldo's double secured three points for Los Blancos against Gijon.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is convinced his attacking ace Cristiano Ronaldo is back on form after his brace against Sporting Gijon. Madrid were far from their best on the day but managed to regain stay top of LaLiga as Ronaldo scored twice - a penalty and a powerful header - to seal the win at the Santiago Bernabeu. And following the clash at Madrid, Zidane was quick to praise the Portugal. "Cristiano is like that, he can score at any time," he said as Goal reported. "When he does not score, people think that he has not played well. "He played well with Karim [Benzema] in the middle and dropped out to the wing, working hard and he is back on form." Zidane also defended James Rodriguez - who replaced Gareth Bale. "I do not consider him to be disinterested," he added. "James played well, as did the others. He may lack a bit of rhythm, but I am happy that he got some playing time."
