Swansea City player Wayne Routledge has acknowledged the football upbringing he got from his former club Crystal Palace ahead of his side's clash with The Eagles.
Palace host the Swans on Monday, and Routledge is looking to get three points against his former side at Selhurst Park.
“Palace gave me everything. Without them I wouldn’t be here today,” Routledge acknowledged, Swansea's official website reports.
“They taught me everything from the age of ten or 11. They are a club that are close to my heart and I do keep an eye out for their results.
“But it would be nice to take three points off them.
“We are the ones that have got ourselves into this position, and it’s up to us to get ourselves out of it.
“There are 11 of us out there and you must trust your team-mates, do your job to the best you can and hopefully that will be enough to get three points – if not three points, then one point.”
