Salah: "I like the way English football is. I'm happy to be back.”

Mohamed Salah has joined the Reds for an initial £33.5million, with an extra £5.5million in potential performance-related add-ons.

According to widespread reports, the 25-year-old attacker signed a five-year deal worth around £90,000-a-week.

Salah, who struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge three-and-a-half years ago before his move to the Serie A, will wear the No.11 shirt at Anfield following his move from Roma.

However, when asked if he was a better player now than when he was at Chelsea, the Egypt international told LFCTV: “100% yes. They have paid a lot of money for that!

“Everything, even my personality is different. I was a kid then, just 21. Now, four years on, I have a baby and everything is different.

“I always try to improve and get better and better. I think last season was my best season.

“I feel like I am doing better and better every year. Now I have a new challenge here.

“Liverpool fans will expect more. It won't be easy but I am ready. I feel love from the supporters. They have been sending me funny photos and videos!

“I have experience. I like the way English football is. I'm happy to be back.”

On his versatility, he said: “When we played five at the back at Roma I played as the second striker, like the No 10.

“Sometimes I go on the left. I can play anywhere along the front.”
