Yaya Sanogo hopes he can prove that he has potential in the Premier League when he secured a loan move to Crystal Palace until the end of the season.
New Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is excited to have brought him to Selhurst Park saying: "He's a young player with tremendous promise, he is somebody that I have tracked personally and this club has too so that fitted well."
The French striker was struggling to break into the first team after just five appearances this season with one goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions’ League group stage.
Sanogo said: “It feels good to have signed a six-month deal at Crystal Palace so I am happy, my ambition is to keep on and every day work hard on the training ground, and try to always play.”
He has yet to score in the league for his parent club since his move from Auxerre in 2013, he was linked with a move back to his former club but Wenger was keen for him to stay in England.
Pardew added: We have given him an opportunity. He needs to play more games and I think he's ready for that and he proved that at Arsenal, It's tough to get in their team but he's closer to the starting action with us."
