Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has heaped praised On Gonzalo Higuain ahead of their clash at the Etihad on Sunday as he believes the striker is already helping Eden Hazard's all round display.

The Argentine's link-up play with Hazard was superb when they thrashed Huddersfield 5-0 last weekend, with both players scoring a double on the day.

However, speaking ahead of Chelsea's match with Manchester City this weekend, Sarri said the Higuain, who signed for the Blues in January, is developing a key partnership on the pitch with the Belgium international.

‘Gonzalo is a great player,’ said the Italian as chelseafc.com reported. ‘He did very well everywhere. He is a great player and very useful for Eden. They are very suitable to play together.

‘It’s very important for us he is determined. His impact with the other players is really very good for us.’

On Hazard’s future which was a topic of discussion in Sarri's press conference today, he said: ‘I speak every day with Eden, but I speak with Eden about his position on the pitch.

‘I will be really very happy with him if he wants to stay. In my opinion he is the best in Europe, so I would be really very happy, but it’s up to him. I want to see him happy. He has to decide.’
