Scott Dann: “I had a feeling today that I was going to score."

Crystal Palace's match winner against Liverpool Scott Dann has revealed that he had a feeling he was going to score against the club he supported as a child.

He headed home the winner eight minutes from time to inflict Jurgen Klopp's first defeat as Liverpool manager.

“I had a feeling today that I was going to score today and thankfully it was the winner,” he said, as quoted.

“It was a good ball in by Yohan and I just wanted to get on the end of one and thankfully for me it went in.

“It’s nice to get the win; we did it here last year so we knew we were capable of doing it again and it was a great performance again by all of the lads.

“I have always dreamed of scoring here so it’s a nice touch. I’ll probably get a bit of stick from my family and friends but they support me as well so I’m sure they won’t mind too much!”

With the win, Crystal Palace stay 8th in the league with nineteen points from twelve games heading into the international break.
