According to the Telegraph, Luke Shaw is in line to return to the squad for Manchester United’s next Premier League game against Southampton.
The defender was withdrawn at half time in the FA Cup tie against Yeovil after aggravating the ankle problem which had kept him side-lined for six weeks prior to his return to action against Tottenham on December 28.
It is understood that his withdrawal was a precautionary one and latest scans have revealed no new ligament damage for the former Southampton protégé.
Shaw has had a start and stop first season at the club after his summer move but has impressed in his performances so far to show that United were not wrong to invest so much money in him. But he needs to have an injury free second part of the season and earn a regular start of games to fully realise his potential.
