Former Southampton left-back Luke Shaw praised his team-mate Ashley Young for the impressive display the 29-year-old has had on the left side of Louis van Gaal's team this season.
Since Louis van Gaal's arrival, Ashley young who was known to play only as a winger has been playing as a full-back on the left-side of the Dutchman's team.
He has been impressive both in attack and defence and Luke Shaw - who limped off during the Reds' clash against Arsenal at the Emirates in November - told MUTV both Valencia [who has been playing as a right wing-back] and Ashley young have been 'unbelievable'.
"They [Valencia and Young] have been unbelievable," the 19-year-old told MUTV. "I think their performances have really helped the team, especially Ashley who has been superb in every game I've watched.
"He's been doing great work at both ends of the pitch and putting teams on the back foot as an attacking player. It's something I've been looking at."
Luke Shaw hasn’t had a run of games as he would have liked in his first season at Old Trafford but the England international hopes his injury woes are behind him and said he is set to have a go again.
"I'm feeling really good," said Shaw. "It's always a big setback when you get an injury having already come back from another one.
"It's been frustrating - my United career hasn't really got going yet. I think I had a run of seven games before picking up an injury against Arsenal; that knocked me down, but I'm now fit and raring to go.
"Hopefully I can stay fit and won't get any more injuries. I'm raring to get back into the team now."
