SKRTEL REVEALS KEY TO HIS DECISION.
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel says he decided to sign a new contract and remain with the Reds because his son was born in Liverpool.
After months of speculation over his Anfield future, the 30-year-old put pen to paper, as he signed a new three-year deal with the club and the Daily Mirror quoted him saying: “My son was born in Liverpool - and that was one of the main reasons I wanted to stay.
“I am supposed to have been going somewhere every single transfer window - but I can say I am happy because I am staying at Liverpool and they were always my first choice.
"The priority for me was always to stay at Liverpool and sign a new contract. Inter Milan are a big club but, to my mind, Liverpool are bigger.”
