Tottenham Hotspur's Dominic Solanke expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-1 victory over Brentford.
The summer signing played a crucial role in Tottenham's comeback, helping the team secure their second Premier League win of the season.
Brentford took a shock lead within 23 seconds through Bryan Mbeumo, but Spurs quickly responded. Solanke netted the equaliser, marking his first goal since joining the North London club.
Tottenham then took control of the match, with Brennan Johnson putting them ahead before James Maddison sealed the win late on. Despite Brentford's efforts and some controversy surrounding a non-penalised handball by Spurs' goalkeeper, Tottenham's dominance ensured the victory.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Solanke shared his excitement about opening his account for Spurs: "It feels fantastic. To get the win here meant a lot to all of us. We've had some great performances to start the season but haven't always gotten the results to match, so today we wanted to bring everything together. And we did that."
He also praised his teammate Brennan Johnson: "Brennan is a great player. In the last two games, he's had two great finishes and has helped the team massively, so great credit to him. We're all happy for him."
When asked about his confidence after scoring, Solanke added: "As a striker, it's always important to get that first goal, and I'm happy I managed to do that today. Hopefully, I can continue in this way. We've been playing well all season, but sometimes the results don't go your way. But if you keep going, keep sticking at it, and play the way we want to play, it will happen."
