William Carvalho is going nowhere, says Lisbon head coach.
The Portuguese midfielder has been attracting the interest of several clubs in Europe’s top flight, but they have been told William Carvalho won't be leaving Sporting Lisbon this summer.
Newly appoint Sporting boss Jorge Jesus has revealed to interested parties that the 23-year-old - who generally sits as a lone midfield anchor in a straightforward 4-3-3 formation - is a key member to his side and they won't be letting him leave.
"William is a certainty. Sporting has young people who are already certainties, are not hopes or doubts. William will be enhanced if the team is also," Jesus told Portuguese television network SIC.
"Only players value the team respond to winning titles. He's a player with features to play more. I have no doubt that with me will play more."
