Spurs' Chadli: “We played attacking football like we always do" at Selhurst Park.

Nacer Chadli was delighted with the impact he made at Selhurst Park as he came off the bench to help the Lilywhites seal a 3-1 win over the Eagles.

Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace took the lead on Saturday via Jan Vertonghen's own goal in the 30th minute but Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Nacer Chadli all scored a goal each to seal the win in the London derby.

Tottenham currently sit in fourth spot on the Premier League table, five points ahead of Louis van Gaal's side.

However, Chadli hailed Tottenham's impressive display at south London over the weekend, adding it’s all about winning games.

“I’m very happy for the team that we have a lot of players in the squad – it’s always good to have quality on the bench. I came on today, I made an impact and I’m very happy,” he said as the club's official website reported.

“That’s all it’s about – winning games – and if you’re playing you need to make an impact.

“We played attacking football like we always do, they got a lucky goal and they defended well, we created many chances but we couldn’t score. Eventually we got the first goal and then we were able to score the second and the third one.”

Chadli's strike was a beauty but the Belgium international praised Dele's goal, which was also a lovely volley.

“I prefer his goal to be honest!” he said. “It was unbelievable. I was just five or 10 yards from him and I saw the action that he did. It was very, very beautiful to see. It was a nice finish and it put us 2-1 up.”
