Tottenham Hotspur FC sign Barca's Lenglet on loan.

Tottenham have secured the services of France centre-back Clement Lenglet from LaLiga giants Barcelona on a season-long loan.

The 27-year-old, who found it difficult to seal his place in the Barca first team last season is subject to a medical and it is believed the deal will have an option-to-buy clause included.

Lenglet began his career at Nancy, where he made his debut in 2013 and went on to win the French Second Division title and promotion into Ligue 1.

In January 2017, he was signed for LaLiga club Sevilla, playing 54 matches in all competitions, reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the final of the Copa del Rey.

Following his superb displays for the Andalusian club, Barca signed the defender for 35.9m euros (£32m) in 2018 and he went on to register 159 appearances in all competitions, winning La Liga in his first season and the Copa del Rey in 2021.

Lenglet is Spurs' fifth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, and Richarlison.
