Roberto Martinez is set to welcome back John Stones for the visit of Newcastle on Sunday.
The England defender missed Thursday’s victory over Dynamo Kyiv with a sickness bug but was back training on Friday.
Martinez will put Leighton Baines through a late fitness test as he recovers from a groin injury.
Gareth Barry begins a two-match ban and Aiden McGeady, Steven Pienaar,Bryan Oviedo and Tony Hibbert are still injured. But Aaron Lennon could return having been ineligible to feature in the Europa League.
Martinez said at his pre-Newcastle press conference: "We didn’t pick up any knocks or injuries last night that are going to cause any changes in the squad. "John Stones should be available for Sunday, he only had a bit of a stomach bug. He trained this morning and looked fine. He has lost a bit of weight so we are going to assess that he is okay for Sunday. "Leighton Baines is going have a fitness test tomorrow (Saturday) to make sure he can make the squad. Aiden McGeady and Steven Pienaar have started to work stronger and they won’t be available for Sunday but they aren't far away from joining the group. Bryan Oviedo is probably three weeks away from being fully fit."
Leon Osman made an eye-catching return to Goodison after injury on Thursday, while Christian Atsu was an unused sub after being out with a virus. "It is good to have fresh legs but also to have players who can keep the momentum from the last game. It’s having the right balance," added Martinez.
