PSG took a big step towards Champions League qualification.
Thomas Tuchel expressed his joy at Paris Saint-Germain beating Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Juan Bernat and Neymar strikes handed the Ligue 1 side a comfortable lead before James Milner scored a penalty at the stroke of half-time, but it wasn’t enough for the awayside to register a comeback.
However, following the triumph in Paris, Tuchel described PSG 2-1 home win against Liverpool as "magnificent".
"We're very happy as we showed that we can rival with a team like Liverpool who have a great spirit," Tuchel told RMC Sport.
"It was a great challenge. My players showed it. It's a great victory with a top display.
"You can't win without a great defence and team effort. We worked hard and the result is magnificent."
PSG, who have a record of 14 straight wins in Ligue 1, need to win Red Star Belgrade away in their last Group C tie to qualify for the knockout stages of Europe’s elite competition.
