Chelsea FC travel to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium tonight as the Blues look to repeat what they did in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final clash at Stamford Bridge last week.
Last Wednesday, Tuchel altered his system from his usual 3-4-3 formation to a four-man defence at Stamford Bridge, with Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku both in attack.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has not ruled out the possibility of playing with two strikers in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final match against Tottenham on Wednesday night.
The German altered his formation [from the usual 3-4-3 formation to four men at the back] when they hosted Antonio Conte's Spurs last week Wednesday and ran out 2-0 winners in west London, thanks to a Kai Harvetz strike in the 5th minute and a 34th-minute own-goal from Ben Davies.
Timo Werner, who had missed a few games due to Covid, returned to the fold last week, replacing Havertz and he looked sharp when he opened the scoring in Chelsea's 5-1 FA Cup win over Chesterfield on Saturday.

However, when asked if Werner's return could trigger him to use two strikers upfront, Tuchel replied as the club's official website quoted: ‘We are Chelsea.
'We have our style, we have our positions, and we have enough possibilities. We can play with two strikers, we can play 5-3-2, we've played this many times with the ball and off the ball.
‘We have the same possibility to play with a formation with three strikers,’ Tuchel added. ‘Maybe even a 4-4-2, like in the match against Tottenham in the first leg, so we have some options.’
The Bavarian also urged his players not to get complacent as many key players are now available to take up their position.
‘The players need this, it is very easy. Players need to show they are good enough to step up. When they start, they need to show they should be on the pitch.
'It is very easy, we are not inventing new stuff to make players happy or better. They have all it takes. It is on them to show us.’
Chelsea go into the match against Spurs tonight with a two-goal lead and will be looking to secure their spot in the final of the competition by avoiding a two-goal loss.
