Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is confident of a bright future for the club.
Virgil van Dijk believes Liverpool‘s future “looks pretty bright” after their Champions League success in 2018-19 season.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds were incredible last season as they won their sixth European crown and finished second (with 97 points) to Manchester City (98 points) in the Premier League. And, it was the first time in English top flight a side registered 97 points and didn’t win the title.
However, Van Dijk, who was named Professional Footballers' Association's (PFA) Players' Player of the Year, can see his side achieving more success in the future.
"I think the future looks pretty bright," he told the club's official website. "We have a fantastic team with players that want to develop, that want to give everything for the team and for the club.
"[There is] so much quality in the team. Sometimes you don't even realise how good [a group] of players we have – and also on the bench – that want to play and be part of the team. So, we have a fantastic future coming up."
