Louis van Gaal has praised the Red Devils` passion and admits that his team`s fitness levels are up to standard.
In Manchester United`s appearances this season, the Reds have scored only once after the 62-minute mark and a few fans have wondered why this has been the case.
Nevertheless, the United boss who saw his side win their last two games at Old Trafford is convinced that his players are now adjusting to his training sessions.
“Fitness is maybe a point, because I have already said that I have adapted my intensity of training sessions to a lower level,” said Van Gaal.
“But I have to give a certain level because they need to play 90 minutes.
“But I think we are fit enough because what I see of my players. They are fighting to the last minute and are willing to do everything, so I’m very happy with the passion of my players.”
Manchester United play West Brom tonight at the Hawthorns hoping to build on their back-to-back wins over West Ham and Everton.
