Van Gaal switched on the Christmas lights at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal helped switch on the Old Trafford Christmas tree lights on Thursday, hinting the Reds have gotten into the festive spirit.

Despite a slow start to the campaign, Manchester United sit in 4th position in the Premier League table after their 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates last Saturday.

Van Gaal was joined by staff and children from the Stretford High School and the Dutchman was in a happy mood throughout the event as he switched on the lights which will stay on for the whole festive period.

He was also joined by youngsters, showing belief in promoting young talent as always.

Manchester United take on Hull City at Old Trafford on Saturday and Van Gaal's side will try to make it three straight Premier League wins as they take on Hull City on Saturday, hoping to cement their top four spot.
