Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke is not convinced Jadon Sancho is keen to leave the club amid reports linking the forward with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

According to widespread reports, the 20-time champions United are leading the race to secure the services of the England international Sancho, who has netted 17 goals across all competitions in 2019-20, with Chelsea and Liverpool also interested in signing the 19-year-old this summer.

But Watzke, who said it is "not clear what will happen" at the end of the season, expressed the importance of Jadon Sancho at the Bundesliga club.

"I think he has the feeling that the club does have a good future," Watzke told BBC Sport. "In my opinion, I don't think he wants to leave.

"It's not a question of money," said Watzke. "For us, it would be the best position if he stays at Borussia Dortmund.

"We have enough money. We want to have titles. I think this team has a lot more potential with Jadon than without Jadon.

He added: "We have a very confidential relationship between us and him and his agents. We will discuss it."

Sancho left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017 and the attacker has become one of the most sought players in Europe.
