Wenger: "It was mentally vital" to beat West Brom.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger speaks about how vital it was for his Gunners to seal a win on Boxing Day. The north London side bounced back to winning ways as Olivier Giroud's late header found the back of the West Bromwich net on Monday afternoon. And following the victory, Wenger says it's a big relief they secured the 1-0 victory after back-to-back defeats away to Everton and Manchester City hit their confidence. "It could have been a 0-0 and sometimes you have to accept that," he told Arsenal Player.

"For us it was mentally vital to win the game and that's why I believe it was a big relief. Because you could see that mentally we are not used to losing games. It could have become a block a little bit, so it was good to get that out of the way."
