Wenger praises 'classy' Sanchez.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger heaped praise on "classy" Alexis Sanchez after the Chile international scored a hat-trick in their 5-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium. Mesut Ozil scored the first goal of the game in the 24th minute before Sanchez registered three sublime second-half strikes to secure his second hat-trick for the Gunners. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the fifth for the north London club, while Andy Carroll headed home a consolation for the hosts. However, following the win on Saturday Wenger hailed the 27-year-old's all-around display that saw him increase his Premier League tally for the campaign to 11.

"But he's a fighter, he's a winner, he's a classy player and he can give you something special. "He has been exceptional. You don't find many players who can dribble that fast, who close down so quickly and have that short backlift that can surprise you. And he has a great technique as well." The win moved Arsenal up to second place in the table and Wenger is backing to go on a winning run. "It was a convincing performance and a strong result," he said. "I believe that we are on a strong run and it's down to us to be mentally at a level to maintain that run and keep the focus in every single game."
