West Ham Triumph over Chelsea in Thrilling London Derby Despite 10-Man Challenge

West Ham United secured a thrilling victory in a London derby against Chelsea FC, even though they played with 10 men for nearly 30 minutes.

The Hammers led 2-1, with Nayef Aguerd, who initially scored with a header, being sent off in the 67th minute due to his second yellow card.

Chelsea, despite having a numerical advantage, couldn't find the equaliser and ultimately conceded a late third goal from Lucas Paqueta's penalty during injury time.

Carney Chukwuemeka, a young talent, netted his first goal for Chelsea to level the score at 1-1. Enzo Fernandez missed an opportunity to put Chelsea ahead, as his penalty was saved by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

In the 53rd minute, Michail Antonio's powerful angled shot put West Ham ahead again, but soon after, they were reduced to 10 players.

Despite Aguerd's expulsion, Mauricio Pochettino's team couldn't take advantage and draw level again, even with midfielder Moises Caicedo making his second-half debut after joining from Brighton.

Caicedo, who signed for an initial £100 million that could escalate to £115 million, had a chance to equalise at 2-2 but shot over the bar from outside the penalty area.

Unfortunately for him, Caicedo's rustiness from a two-month hiatus without a match showed, and he later conceded a penalty by fouling West Ham's left-back Emerson. Paqueta converted the penalty, securing West Ham's victory on Saturday.
