Tottenham Hotspur captain Younes Kaboul admits Mauricio Pochettino is helping him learn to read the game “properly”.
The Spurs manager penned a four-year contract in May after being appointed as Tim Sherwood’s successor at White Hart Lane.
Pochettino appointed Kaboul as Tottenham’s new captain following the start of his regime after Michael Dawson moved to Hull City in the summer.
And the 28-year-old says that Tottenham`s defenders are learning a lot from the new boss.
Kaboul said: “Mauricio was a top defender first of all, a very classy defender.
“We learn a lot from him because he has got experience at this level and we try to put in the game everything he has taught us.
“He is helping me to read the game. To read the game properly and to anticipate stuff.
“I think we have applied this already during the games.”
On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur had a 1-0 victory over Southampton, the club which he moved from to manage Spurs in the summer.
