Gianfranco Zola has heaped on Eden Hazard, labelling the Belgian one of the best players 'in the world' after Chelsea came from behind on Merseyside to progress in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues winger came off the bench to score the winning goal against Jurgen Klopp's Reds - after Daniel Sturridge broke the deadlock and Emerson levelled up for Maurizio Sarri's side on Wednesday night at Anfield.
‘I would like to add something on top of it,’ Zola told Sky Sports after the win. ‘Eden is one of the best players in Europe and in the world, for sure. What he’s done today, that goal is proof of that.
‘He is getting better and better. He is doing the right things at the right moment and in a wonderful way. I think Jamie is correct in what he says.’
