Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca says he is fortunate to have so many versatile players after their brilliant win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The West London club secured their first Premier League win of the season with a 6-2 victory over Wolves, highlighted by Noni Madueke's hat-trick.
The game was full of excitement, with Chelsea taking an early lead through Nicolas Jackson before Wolves equalized twice with goals from Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Cole Palmer restored Chelsea's advantage, and Madueke's three second-half goals sealed the win. Joao Felix added a late goal to complete the scoreline. Despite a hostile atmosphere, Madueke’s performance stood out, marking a memorable first league win for manager Maresca.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Maresca said: "The performance was good. I think the first half was not a complete performance. We started well in the first 10 to 15 minutes, we scored a goal and had two or three more chances.
"Then we lost a few easy balls. When you want to build from the back, you cannot allow yourself to lose easy balls; otherwise, you concede set pieces and counter-attacks. You need to be more accurate.
"In the second half, the team was more accurate. They did not give away any easy balls, and overall the performance was good."
Asked about his half-time words, the Italian replied: "As I said, be more accurate. The intention is always good, but we need to be more accurate if we want to play the way we play. I am lucky to have so many versatile players who can play in lots of different positions."
