Fernandinho would entertain talks over a contract extension at Manchester City.
Fernandinho has admitted that he is open to having talks over a new contract extension at Manchester City. The 34-year-old, who is back in his native Brazil, spending the lockdown with family, would like to continue plying his trade at the Etihad. "First of all, I just want to get back to work and play again. I extended my contract a couple of months ago and I am so happy, but after that, we'll see," Fernandinho said.
"If we have another conversation about another contract in the future, I would be happy. But if not, I would be happy as well because I know what I have done for this club and what this club has done for me, how they have helped me. “This time has been a pleasure for me. Manchester City will always be in my heart. That's for sure."
Since joining City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, Fernandinho has had a trophy-laden career, winning three Premier League titles amongst other trophies. More: De Bruyne's consistency has helped him become "a complete player".
