Pochettino hails the crucial roles of Sterling and Palmer at Chelsea.

Pochettino heaped praise on Chelsea duo Raheem Sterling and Colmer

Manager Mauricio Pochettino showered praise on Chelsea's dynamic duo, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer, following their outstanding performances in Saturday's match against Burnley.

After their recent triumph over Fulham, Chelsea continued to build on their momentum with a dominant 4-1 victory against Burnley. Sterling and Palmer played instrumental roles in securing this impressive win.

Sterling, in particular, responded brilliantly to his recent omission from the England squad with a man-of-the-match performance. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Cole Palmer, who made the move from Manchester City to Stamford Bridge over the summer, celebrated his first goal for Chelsea, marking a memorable moment in his career.

While Raheem Sterling responded to his latest England omission with his man-of-the-match display, 21-year-old Cole Palmer, who moved Manchester City to Stamford Bridge in the summer, will be delighted he got his first Chelsea goal.

Pochettino said of Sterling while speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the victory: "I am so pleased because I think he needs to feel the net and he is a player with experience that can provide a very good thing for the team. He created a penalty and then he scored and he was involved for the first goal, the own goal. He's an experienced player and he needs to provide many things to the team."

On Cole Palmer, the Argentine said: "He is a very talented player and he has the quality and he surprised me when I arrived because it was the day before the transfer window closed. the way he reads the situations and what the team needs in every situation, he can be the player who can link with his team-mates. Still very very young but with great personality and he has the talent and the quality which we saw today."
