Ray Parlour reckons Liverpool's Salah can ask for whatever he wants.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Mohamed Salah deserves whatever contract he asks of Liverpool FC as he continues to shine for the Merseyside club.

There have been no advancements between the Egypt international and the Anfield club yet, as negotiations continue, but that has not stopped Salah from producing brilliant displays that has seen him become the highest goal scorer (10 goals) so far this season.

At the moment, the forward has 19 months left on his deal with the Reds but reports continue to link him with a move away from Liverpool.

There are also reports from various tabloids reporting that he is asking for a £500,000 a week contract.

However, Parlour reckons the 29-year-old deserves that salary.

'He's been unbelievable, frightening with how he's played this season, the goals he's scored,' former Gunners midfielder Parlour told talkSPORT: 'He's done at the right time because now he can demand what he wants really with his new contract.

'I'm sure his representatives are saying to Liverpool "wait a minute, he deserves £400,000-a-week." If you're Liverpool owners, yeah he does deserve it because what he's done on that field has been absolutely brilliant.'
