Bruno Fernandes crowned the Premier League's Player of the Month for February.

The Portuguese star only completed his move from Sporting CP to Man United on January 29.

Manchester United midfield ace Bruno Fernandes won the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.

The Portugal midfield star, who joined the Red Devils from Sporting CP in the January transfer window for a reported fee of £46.5million (€55m), has had a brillitant start to his career in England.

After making just nine appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team, the 25-year-old found the net three times and registered four assists.

"Since I was a kid it was a dream to play for Man United, and to be there at Old Trafford is the biggest dream of my career," the former Sporting skipper Fernandes said after beating Marcos Alonso, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Matt Doherty to the award.

"When you come to a new club you always want to score, and the first goal is special. It doesn't matter how the goal is scored, but important is the goal's worth.

"I'm happy with my start, but from now I need to give more, to be better."

Bruno Fernandes is the 20th United player to win the award and the first player from Portugal since former Chelsea midfield maestro Deco in 2008.
