Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley Injury Update

Frimpong Sidelined, Bradley Nears Return: Liverpool Injury Update

Liverpool have received a mixed fitness update ahead of a crucial run of fixtures, with Jeremie Frimpong sidelined until after the international break, while Conor Bradley edges closer to a full return.

Frimpong, who was substituted during the Reds’ 3-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend, has been diagnosed with a hamstring problem that will keep him out of upcoming Premier League games against Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Manager Arne Slot explained that the medical staff made the right call in removing the defender early, preventing what could have been a lengthier absence.

“The medical team was completely right about Jeremie to tell me they had to take him off, because he is out until the end of the international break,” Slot said in his press conference on Thursday. “So, a good call to take him off, otherwise, he would have maybe been out for longer.”

Bradley, however, has provided a timely boost by resuming training after missing the Community Shield and the league opener through injury. Slot confirmed the 21-year-old has taken part in sessions this week.

“Conor trained for a few minutes with us today for the first time,” the Dutchman revealed as Liverpool's website quoted, offering encouragement that the Northern Ireland international could soon be back in contention.

The double setback at right-back has left Liverpool short in a key area, but Slot remains relaxed about his options. He noted that several players, including Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo, are capable of filling the role when needed.

Gomez, who recently returned from a minor injury of his own, managed 20 minutes against Bournemouth and continues to work towards full match fitness.

Joe Gomez might fill in for Jeremie Frimpong.

“We only have at the moment two injuries, unfortunately, it is two for the same position,” Slot admitted. “But the good thing is some others can play in that position as well.”

Despite the disruption, Liverpool will look to adapt with makeshift solutions until Frimpong’s recovery is complete.

With Bradley working his way back and Gomez also nearing sharpness, Slot is confident the squad can handle the pressure over the next few weeks, starting with Newcastle United this weekend.
